Children check in with their instructor and leave with a parent or a named adult.
Mat rules
Clean uniforms, short nails, no jewelry and no shoes on the mat. Partners stop right away when anyone says stop.
An instructor on the mat
Every class has an instructor on the mat.
Gear for sparring
Teens and adults spar with gear on and an instructor beside them. Younger students practice kicks and blocks on pads.

Family policies
Photos of your child
We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.
Watching class and belt tests
Parents are welcome to watch from the bench beside the mat room. Belt tests are open to family, and we tell you the date in class.
What to wear and bring
A white uniform for class, or a plain T-shirt and loose pants for a first visit. Bring a water bottle. Shoes stay off the mat.
When to keep your child home
Please keep a student at home with a fever, a cough that will not clear or a stomach illness, and bring them back once they feel well. Text us if they will miss class.
Drop-off and pickup
Children check in with their instructor and leave with a parent or a named adult. We ask for ID from anyone we do not know.
Closures for weather and holidays
We close for school holidays and tell families by text message. If the weather closes us, we text the same day.
Leaving the program
Write to us at least 30 days ahead, by email or at the front desk. We can pause a membership for travel or an injury.
Screens and phones
Phones stay in bags during class. Parents watching from the bench may use theirs.
