Questions we hear
Does my child need any experience?
No. Most students start as beginners. Little Tigers is for ages 5 to 7, and the kids class for ages 8 to 12 starts with the basics.
Are classes taught in English or in Spanish?
Both. Baldomero and Cleotilde teach in Spanish and English, and Youngsoo teaches in English, Spanish and Korean. Tell us which language you prefer and we will point you to a class.
Can adults train too?
Yes. Adults have their own classes, and the family class lets parents train beside their children.
What happens in a first class?
A first class starts with bowing in and a warm-up. The student works at their level with an instructor close by. Nobody is pushed into sparring.
Do students spar?
Teens and adults practice controlled sparring with gear on, once they know the basics and their instructor agrees. Younger students practice kicks and blocks on pads.
How do belt promotions work?
Instructors promote a student when they see the skills, at a belt test. There is no set time between belts.
